The Senior Citizen's Division of the HCRA seeks to create an atmosphere that acknowledges the value of family life, individually and collectively and affirms the dignity and self-worth of the older adult.

Home Delivered Meals

Home delivered meals are available for Hancock County residents, 60 or older, who are homebound.

Congregate Meals

We serve nutritious meals to eligible seniors in a congregate setting.

Transportation

We provide transportation for seniors so that you can run errands, go grocery shopping and attend medical visits.

Social Events

Join us for our annual 4th of July BBQ, Thanksgiving Party, Christmas Party, Senior Prom and more!

Awareness Activities

Knowledge is power.  We provide a wide variety of awarness activitie to help seniors learn to protect themselves and stay healthy!

Classes

We offer a variety of classes for seniors, including ceramics, oil painting, crocheting & quilting.

The purpose of the Senior Citizen's Center is to:

Provide a focal point in the community where older persons can seek information and referrals, counseling and assistance

 Promote physical, mental and cultural well-being of older Hancock Countians and encourage their participation in community affairs

Provide supportive service that enable older people to maintain themselves in a home-community atmosphere and frees them from the alternatives of institutionalization
